Barley is the mainstay of our production. Since 2016 we have been growing Metcalf 2 row malting barley and producing custom, small batch malts for brewers and distillers up and down the Central Coast. Our malt styles vary with the season. During the summer we specialize in light colored malts for crisp, light ales and lagers. Our “Sun Malts” (malts dried under the hot San Miguel sun instead of a kiln) have exceptional flavors and extract.
